Paul "Bud" Hooten age 65, died Friday June 4, 2010 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 5:30 PM, Sunday June 6 in Bell Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Paul "Bud" Hooten age 65, died Friday June 4, 2010 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 5:30 PM, Sunday June 6 in Bell Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born January 3, 1945 he was the son of Thelma Bell Hooten and the Late Joe Sam Hooten. Paul loved his pet birds, going to the beach and was a big Jeff Gordon fan. He retired from Lay-Z-Boy Furniture after thirty-seven years of work without missing a day.
Surviving in addition to his mother are four sisters: Dorothy (Larry) Cromer, Joanne Page, Patricia (Alan) Taylor, all of Florence, Jean (Wilbur M.) Russ of Coward and 4 nieces, 9 nephews, 19 great-nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Hooten.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday, June 5 at Belk Funeral Home, LAMAR.
